"F" Day – Regular Schedule
"Leave Things Better Than You Found Them"
Seniors: Anyone interested in being on the prom committee, please attend a meeting on Wed., Feb. 22 at break in room 7.
Stage Crew/Lights and Sound: Anyone interested for the upcoming spring musical "Bye Bye Birdie," please come to the auditorium at break today for a short meeting.
Have You Ever Wanted to Be in a Movie? In keeping with the theme of film and movies for this year's Laureate publication, a documentary is being produced. The documentary will feature clips addressing the questions, why do we watch movies? Interviews are open to all at SBA. Signups are posted in the hallways, and interviews will be conducted in the AP room starting the week of February 27. If you have questions, please see Amanda Gates, Kelly McDonough, Courtney Young, or Nicole Scalfaro.
Softball: There will be a workout today after school outside.
Indoor Track: Please attend a brief meeting today at break in the gym.
Volleyball: All students who are interested in playing volleyball this upcoming fall season, please attend a brief meeting today after school at 4 in the gym. Everyone must attend.
March Calendar: Due date for the Activity Request Form is February 24. Please fill out and hand in to Mrs. Feld in the Windows computer lab.
Book Club: We will be discussing The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan this Friday before school at 7:45AM in the library. The discussion is open to anyone interested.
Book Club and Ukrainian Society Officers: There will be a joint meeting today after school from 3-3:30 in the library. If you have a conflict, please see Mrs. Penkalskyj today.
CSC Members: Please sign up to bring 1 ingredient to the strawberry short-cake sale on Thursday. Sign-ups for the next trip to the Ronald McDonald House on Sunday, March 8 are available. The planning meeting will be this Friday, Feb. 24.
Leadership Seminars: There are 2 being offered this spring – one at Villanova University and one offered through the District Attorney's office in Montgomery County. If you are interested, please see Ms. Splendor today for more information.
WHYY Interview: SBA was interviewed for a WHYY radio broadcast that aired this past Thursday on 90.9 FM about our school's role in welcoming the St. Hubert's community as part of the archdiocesan high school closings. Leadership Conference: Is scheduled for Sunday, March 25 at SBA from 8:30-1:30. See Mrs. Feld for registration, due by March 16. A reminder that any student interested in assuming a leadership position on Student Council or as a Club Officer must attend. There is a $10 fee for the conference.
Freshwomen and Sophomores: As course registration approaches, you may have questions about electives to consider for next year. Ms. Splendor would be happy to help you – feel free to stop by any day at lunch, study, break, or gym (with teacher permission).
Madrigals Auditions: All students who are planning to audition in March, please sign up on the bulletin board outside the music room.
Acoustic Covers CD: Thank you to all faculty and students who signed up to receive a CD to benefit the Institute for Community Justice. CDs will be available beginning Thursday morning ($6), which can be given to Ms. Iafrate when you pick up your CD.
MCIU Appointments: If you are scheduled to see Mrs. Gale, Mrs. McHugh, or Mrs. Polak from the MCIU, please remember to keep your appointment. If you don't receive a hall pass and are unsure of whether you are scheduled, please see Ms. Splendor. If for any reason you cannot keep your appointment, please let the MCIU know your reason.
Be the Change 7th Period Group: Freshwomen interested in being a part of the group, there is a group forming during 7th period. Be the Change is a great support group where students discuss issues relevant to teen girls. Stop by and let Ms. Splendor know which day of the week works best for you.
Jazz Festival: Come listen to marvelous high school bands at the SBA Jazz Festival on Saturday, March 10, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM in the SBA All-Purpose Room. Cost is $8.00/person or $25.00/family. Join us for a great time to help support the SBA Music Program.
Juniors/Nursing Career: Villanova University is hosting a Discover Nursing Program on their campus on Friday, March 30th for any junior who is interested in pursuing a nursing career. If you are interested in participating, please stop and see Mrs. Smith.

College Counseling: Seniors who have received acceptance and merit award letters are asked to bring them to the College Counseling office.
PawPrints: February item of the month through 2/29-- Panther sweatpants for $22.50 (regularly $25). Available in navy and grey. This week is senior week -- all in-stock items are 10% off. Seniors should stock up before Kairos. Pinnies ($17) can be ordered through the school store on Monday, Wed., or Friday and at break in the cafeteria on Tuesday and Thursday. If you ordered a pinnie, please pick it up in the school store tomorrow.
School Choice Support: Catholic school education is important!
