| The purpose of Drama Club: |
The purpose of Drama Club is to educate the whole student in all aspects of theater. This is done by having the girls be involved in the different areas of staging such as lighting, sound, stage crew, set construction, etc.as well as acting. The shows are run by a student crew with the help of a few parents. We perform 2 shows a year - one in the fall and one in the spring. The fall show is usually a comedy or drama, full length or one acts. The spring is always reserved for our annual musical.. We celebrate the shows at their conclusion by having two Drama Club parties - one at Christmas and one at the end of school (senior night) to award the students for a job well done. Every aspect of Drama Club is given points. Whether the girls work on stage crew or acting they receive the same amount of points for each show. A total of 50 points will allow the student to receive her Drama Club pin. |

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages."
