Vincent Van Gogh did twelve different versions of Sunflowers. The inspiration of seven different version had the students examine the use of a limited pallet, along with the effect of background changes. In their version, the artists first decide on composition in their pencil studies. Then, they choose from a variety of pastel papers to render their work. Each of these works has a different feel and impact to them. Enjoy!
