Overview

The language curriculum enables students to communicate and interact with people in a foreign language, to improve their understanding and sensitivity to cultural similarities and differences, and to develop an appreciation of cultural differences. Students practice pronunciation, reading aloud, recitation, listening, and expanding vocabulary in the language.

The Classical Roots course, a language requirement, enables students to focus on classical Latin and Greek roots and on the application of classical roots in the vocabulary of various professions.
