Leadership Overview:

Leadership education is a vital component of the Saint Basil Academy experience. Our goal is to inspire students to stand up with passion and determination beyond the classroom. By fostering a welcoming community where young women of any background are celebrated, we strive for an environment that encourages active participation. We empower our students to find comfort in using their voices to share ideas and challenge the status quo.

Women’s Seminar Class:

In addition to the embedded promotion of leadership throughout our general curriculum, Saint Basil Academy offers a Women’s Leadership Seminar course developed specifically for building our leaders. The course focuses on understanding the contemporary opportunities and challenges surrounding women in business. Through course discussion and involvement, our students build a basic business and leadership skills, learn ways to create leadership opportunities, and network with women across industries.

Leadership Accolades:
Our sophomore students Lannen Lare and Teresa Majkut, will be representing SBA at the Hugh O’Brian Leadership Conference (HOBY) in June 2020. Through the years HOBY has provided life-changing leadership development training to positively impact the lives of high school students in the U.S. and abroad. We look forward to Lannen and Teresa sharing their experiences and skills with the SBA community!
Four students from the Class of 2023 were elected members of the Student Council for the 2019-2020 school year. We welcome Meena Balaratna, Abigail Szypula, Bria Mahoney, and Hannah Dydak in their new leadership role.
Four students from Saint Basil Academy were selected to attend the West Point Society of Philadelphia Leadership and Ethics Conference at Villanova University. We are so proud of Jamie Barbara, Bryn Cooney, Tania Davidson, and Sophia Romano.
Three students had the opportunity to attend the National Scholastic Press Association Annual Convention in Washington D.C. Girls were given the opportunity to attend leadership conferences and listen to a keynote speaker.

We believe in creating an awareness of appropriate forms of recreation for the development of mind, body, and spirit.
