Cross Country

Congrats to Taylor Thomas and Cate Quinn for being named to the Catholic Academy All-Star Cross Country Team.


Indoor Track

Millrose Games

Alina Laforest won fifth place in the Girls 600m with a time of 1:34.01. This betters her current #1 state time and moves her up to #6 in the country. Tia Taylor won fourth place in the Triple Jump leaping 39-10 (almost a whole foot better than her previous mark of 38-10.25). Tia is currently #1 in the state and #7 in the country.

Marine Classic

At Marine Classics the Lady Panthers had 6 first place wins, personal best & school records. Alina Laforest, Sophomore, won the 600 meters and ran 1:35.31 which currently places her as number one in the State and fifth in the country. This time also breaks the SBA Indoor School record. Simone Kelly, a Freshman, won the Freshmen 55 meters and ran 7.43, which beat the school record. Simone also won the Freshmen 400 meters and finished with a time of 1:01.7. Taylor Forbes, Freshman, win the Freshman Long Jump and Triple Jump. Taylor jumped 36-0.75 feet which qualifies her to compete in the PIAA Indoor State meet. Taylor long jumped 15-1.50. Tia Taylor, Junior, jumps 38’08 to win the Varsity Triple Jump. That jump places her first in the State and a qualifier for the PIAA State Indoor Championships. Tia also won the Long Jump with a leap of 17-10.25 another state qualifier. The Freshman/Sophomore 1600 meter Sprint Medley placed fourth with a time of 4:45.68. Runners: Taylor Forbes, Bernadette Stanton, Samantha Sonnie, Cate Quinn. The Varsity 1600 Sprint Medley is number one in the state and they ran 4:17.67.  Runners: Simone Kelly, Tia Taylor, Taylor Thomas, Alina LaForest.


Hispanic Games

The 4 x 200 Relay set a new school record of 1:44.49, which is currently the second-fastest in the State. The 4 x 400 Relay placed third overall, beat our time of 4:03.27, which also sets a new school record.


New Balance Track and Field Center at the Armory

The Panthers competed at one of the world’s fastest tracks, the New Balance Track and Field Center at the Armory.  Taylor Forbes just missed the 55-meter finals, placing 9th with a new PR of 7.50 seconds.  Alina LaForest won the 800 meters with a season-best of 2:16.5 which places her sixth in the State.  Bernadette Stanton ran very well in the 200 and 400 meters, running two PR’s in 28.5 and 63.4 respectively. Tia Taylor runs 8.25 seconds to win the 55-meter hurdles just .01 off her fastest time of the season. Taylor Thomas runs a season-best of 2:25.5 in the 800, so close to making the State meet qualifying time.


Congrats to Tia Taylor for being named to the Pennsylvania All-State Track Team.
