Culture, Race, and Ethnicity in America

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors (Elective) 0.5 Credit

This one-semester history course explores the impact that diverse races, cultures and ethnicities have had on America from the time of European discovery to the present-day. Students will focus on the effect that discrimination and inequality have had on ethnic and racial minorities on political, social and economic levels. Other topics will include the contributions that ethnic and racial minorities have made to the development of America, as well as measures taken to resolve the inequities in America.
