Small class size promotes emphasis on developing reading comprehension strategies for tackling challenging texts and allows for individualized instruction. Concentrated attention to continued development of grammar and vocabulary skills in preparation for standardized testing is also a primary focus. The writing program focuses on the development of analytical, persuasive and expository/research essays incorporating support from primary sources.
