Honors World History

This is a year-long survey course that explores the key events and global developments in world history from ancient times to the present day. Students will uncover patterns of behavior, explore historical movements and concepts, and identify historical trends and themes. Students will use skills of historical, political, economic, and geographic analysis to formulate a narrative of world history and to explore connections between present day and past events. It is designed for students who are motivated to pursue an in-depth study of World History and are willing to spend extra time working independently. This course also requires additional reading and writing assignments. Students are placed into the course based on entrance exam scores.
