Mr. Thomas Meany


I am a member of the music department at Saint Basil Academy. My duties include leading the handbell choir and teaching Music in ‘Our Lives’ to the junior class. Future plans at SBA include a more expanded role with the newly forming Music Academy. In addition to my SBA responsibilities I also teach extensively for the Settlement Music School, Music Education Pathways and the Keswick Music Center in addition to maintaining an active freelance career as a flutist performing with many local orchestras and ensembles.

I have dual Bachelor Degrees in both Music Performance and Education from Philadelphia College of the Performing Art.I have also earned a Masters Degree in Music from Rowan University. I have obtained specialized training in the Suzuki Method and have recently been awarded three grants for future study from the Suzuki Association of the Americas. I have certificates in Non-Profit Management and Fund Raising from La Salle University.
