Journalism

The Journalism Club produces SBA’s “Basilian Pillar”, giving students the opportunity to plan, organize, research, design, write, and publish the school newspaper. Not only do students extend their skills while experiencing real-world publication schedules; they also expand their awareness of career opportunities in journalism and professional communications. Students also serve the SBA community by covering a wide range of activities and events.  The production staff collaborates to provide readers with meaningful interviews, thought-provoking editorials, and a wide range of lively features that cover the happenings at Saint Basil Academy.

KYW News Series

Seniors, Maddie Stampone and Carie Fiedler, participated in the KYW Temple University program called News Studies. Students had the opportunity to produce pieces that would later be aired on KYW radio. Check out Carie’s segment Sunday, December 6 at 3:24PM.
