Today, we are experiencing both exciting and anxious times at our school.
Excitement comes as we graduate another class of outstanding young women and fulfill our mission to empower students to become spiritual and visionary leaders. We were also blessed to receive the generous gift of Helena Mazur, SBA Class of 1961, which gave us the opportunity to bolster our rewarding Basilian education with new, innovative courses such as Women Leadership, Applied Math in Physics and Personal Finance.
However, Saint Basil Academy is in the midst of the demographic challenges facing schools and universities alike, and that is where our anxiety lies. While our academic programs, extracurricular activities, and bonds of sisterhood have remained excellent, our ability to sustain ourselves through tuition only is no longer the case. In fact, the very survivability of SBA is threatened.
So we are pleading with you today. Become an annual donor. Secure our future. SAVE OUR SCHOOL.
There are many ways for you to commit to the Basil Sustainability Campaign now.
1. Make a recurring donation to Basils and follow our Sustainability Campaign
It is through the broad participation of our alumnae that the individual burden will be lighter on all. Currently, only 5% of our 4,400 alumnae participate in annual giving.
2. Contribute through the EITC state tax program.
Graduates of Saint Basil Academy have learned to leave things better than they found them. The urgency of this important message cannot be overstated. It is only through your support that we can build a better Basils for future generations. Our hope is to have your commitment before the start of the new school year so we can aggressively compete for the incoming class of 2024 on sound financial footing.
